Submitting confirmation for a Kerala PSC examination

Confirmation is a separate step, taken months after you apply: when Kerala PSC schedules an examination it publishes a programme with a confirmation window, and you must confirm inside that window from your profile. The Commission’s own confirmation document states that an admission ticket will not be generated for candidates who fail to confirm in time and that their application for the post will be summarily rejected.

Steps

  1. Watch for the examination programme

    Kerala PSC publishes a monthly examination programme marked "for submitting confirmation". Each row carries the category number, the date of examination, the date from which admission tickets are available, and the confirmation window. Our exam calendar mirrors these rows from the Commission’s PDFs.

  2. Fix your communication address before you confirm

    The examination programmes state that candidates can select the district of their communication address as their choice of examination centre, that the communication address may be changed if necessary, and that special attention must be given to submitting confirmation only after making those changes. Change first, confirm second.

  3. Open Confirmation in your profile

    Log in to your profile and open the confirmation section from the dashboard. Posts currently open for confirmation are listed there, each with its own Confirm Now action. Confirmation is per category number — two exams means two confirmations.

  4. Verify by OTP and submit the undertaking

    The flow sends an OTP to your registered mobile number. After entering it you tick the undertaking that you will attend the examination for that post, and submit the confirmation.

  5. Do not confirm an exam you do not intend to sit

    The Commission’s confirmation document carries an explicit warning that confirmation is an undertaking to write the exam, that you should not confirm if you are not sure of writing it, and that remaining absent after confirming will result in blocking of your profile.

  6. Then download the admission ticket

    The admission ticket becomes available from the date printed in the programme’s own column, and only for candidates who confirmed. See the admission ticket guide.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I miss the Kerala PSC confirmation deadline?#

The Commission’s confirmation document states the admission ticket will not be generated and the application for that post will be summarily rejected. We found no official late-confirmation route.

Is confirmation the same as applying?#

No. Applying puts you in the pool when the notification is open. Confirmation is a separate, later, OTP-verified undertaking that you will actually sit the scheduled examination for that post.

I confirmed but could not attend. Does anything happen?#

The Commission’s confirmation document states that remaining absent after exercising the option of confirmation will result in blocking of your profile. It does not publish a duration or an appeal route, so we do not describe one.

Two exams fall on the same date — do I confirm both?#

Confirmation is listed and taken per category number, so each post is confirmed separately. Kerala PSC does not publish separate guidance for a same-day clash; contact the Commission’s enquiry numbers rather than relying on a forum answer.

The exam was postponed. Do I need a new admission ticket?#

No. The Commission states that the same admission ticket is produced for the examination on the new date. The new date is published on its website and in print and visual media, and communicated through your profile message and by SMS.

I confirmed two exams and they clash. Can either be rescheduled?#

The Commission publishes each examination date independently and we found no provision to reschedule one because it clashes with another of its own examinations. Practically you can attend only one, and no recourse is published for the other. Contact the Commission rather than assume.
