Kerala PSC One Time Registration (Thulasi), step by step

Kerala PSC One Time Registration is a five-stage process on the Commission’s Thulasi portal: sign-up (which issues your User ID and password), personal details, communication details, photograph, and signature — then a preview you must Submit. The Commission’s own instruction PDF states registration is complete only when you click Submit, and that a candidate may not register more than once under any circumstance.

Steps

  1. Open the One Time Registration login and choose New Registration

    From the Commission’s home page at keralapsc.gov.in, open the One Time Registration Login link, then New Registration. The Commission runs the registration itself at thulasi.psc.kerala.gov.in.

  2. Stage 1 — sign-up: your identity, and the User ID you will keep

    The first page collects your name, date of birth, gender, parents’ names, religion, caste and sub-caste, reservation group, an identity-proof type and its number, mobile number, and the User ID and password you choose. Enter your name exactly as it appears in your SSLC record — this field is not freely editable later. Completing this stage issues your User ID and password; you can log back in and finish the rest whenever you like.

  3. Stage 2 — communication details

    Permanent address and communication address (there is a "same as above" option), plus email and mobile. Your communication address matters more than it looks: for exams that require confirmation, the district in your communication address is what decides your examination centre.

  4. Stage 3 — upload the photograph

    The photograph must be 150px wide by 200px high and must not exceed 30 KB. It must carry your name and the date the photograph was taken. You will be asked to read the photo instructions, tick "I agree", upload, and then type the name and the date exactly as they appear in the image before saving.

  5. Stage 4 — upload the signature

    The scanned signature must be clear and legible and must not exceed 30 KB. On its dimensions two Kerala PSC sources disagree: the registration instruction PDF says 150px × 100px, while the Thulasi portal’s own FAQ says 150px × 200px. Go by whatever the upload screen states; both sources agree on the 30 KB ceiling.

  6. Stage 5 — preview, print, and Submit

    The final screen shows everything you entered. The step buttons on the left let you go back and correct any stage. Print the registration details for your records, then click Submit — the Commission’s instructions state that registration is complete only once Submit is clicked. Afterwards, log in again to add your declarations and educational qualifications, entered from the lowest qualification upward.

  7. Never create a second profile

    The Commission’s instructions for registered candidates state plainly that a candidate may not register more than once under any circumstance. If you believe you already have an old profile, recover it rather than creating a new one.

Frequently asked questions

What size should the Kerala PSC photo and signature be?#

The photograph must be 150px × 200px and at most 30 KB, carrying your name and the date it was taken. The signature must also be at most 30 KB; on its dimensions the Commission’s registration PDF (150×100) and the Thulasi portal FAQ (150×200) disagree, so follow the upload screen.

Is there a fee for One Time Registration?#

The Commission does not charge for creating a One Time Registration profile, and its Tips to Applicants page states that no application fee is required for its recruitment notifications. Departmental Tests are a separate process that does carry a fee.

Can I register a second time if I forgot my old User ID?#

No. The Commission’s instructions state a candidate may not register more than once under any circumstance. Recover the existing profile using the forgot-User-ID route instead.

When is my registration actually complete?#

Only after you click Submit on the final preview screen. Saving each stage is not the same as submitting, and an unsubmitted registration will not let you apply for a post.
