Your Kerala PSC physical measurement and test day

Physical measurement is not a separate appointment: it happens at the same ground, immediately before your Physical Efficiency Test, and candidates who do not meet the prescribed measurement are not admitted to the test at all. A Commission press release for Woman Police Constable candidates in February 2026 required arrival before 5:30 am with the original admission ticket, the medical certificate in the notification’s own format, and original identity proof.

Steps

  1. Download the admission ticket for the test

    A separate admission ticket is issued for the measurement and test. It appears in your profile, and the Commission also announces schedules on its Physical Efficiency Test page by category number.

  2. Get the medical certificate in your notification’s own format

    The format is annexed to the notification and it is not the same for every post. Most posts we checked take a certificate from an Assistant Surgeon or Junior Consultant; Fire and Rescue Officer under Category 471/2024 required a Civil Surgeon Grade II. Driver posts use a two-part form, with the vision section signed by a Government Ophthalmologist.

  3. Arrive before the stated reporting time

    The reporting time is on your admission ticket and it is stated without exception — the February 2026 Woman Police Constable notice set it before 5:30 am. Treat it as absolute, because the Commission does not publish any grace.

  4. Bring originals, not copies

    The original admission ticket, the original medical certificate and original identity proof. The Commission does not accept photocopies of identity proof at any of its examinations.

  5. Measurement first, then the test

    Height and chest are taken before the Physical Efficiency Test. Only candidates who meet the prescribed measurement go on to attempt the events.

  6. Verification may follow the same day

    The February 2026 notice stated that certificate verification for candidates who pass would be held on the same day at the same venue. Carry your certificates.

Frequently asked questions

Can I appeal a measurement I disagree with?#

The Commission does issue re-measurement notices — one was published in April 2026 for Reporter Grade II under Category 271/2025, held at the Head Office. But those are called by the Commission for a named category. We found no published general right to appeal your own reading on the day.

What if I arrive a few minutes late?#

The Commission does not publish any allowance for late arrival, and its general examination instructions state that candidates arriving after the reporting time will not be allowed entry under any circumstances.

Is height measured barefoot?#

It depends on the post, and most notifications do not say. Fire and Rescue Officer under Category 471/2024 specifies "Height (bare foot)" explicitly. Where your notification is silent, we cannot tell you — the Commission has not published a general rule.

Can I bring a photocopy of the medical certificate?#

No. The notifications require the original, in the format annexed to the notification for your post.
