Applying for a Devaswom Board job through KDRB

The Kerala Devaswom Recruitment Board fills posts in the Travancore, Cochin, Malabar, Guruvayur and Koodalmanikyam Devaswom Boards. It is not Kerala PSC, and your Thulasi profile does nothing here — it runs its own registration on its own portal. Unlike Kerala PSC, it charges an application fee per post, and states that the fee is not refunded under any circumstances.

Steps

  1. It is a separate statutory board

    KDRB was established under its own 2015 Act to recruit for the five Devaswom Boards’ posts filled by direct recruitment, other than hereditary posts and posts in aided educational institutions. See its own description.

  2. Register on its own portal

    Registration is through the board’s own site, which leads to its recruitment portal. Once registered you apply to future posts from that same profile. A Kerala PSC profile is not involved at any point.

  3. Read the category notification

    Each vacancy is issued as its own numbered notification listing the post, the Devaswom Board, the pay scale, the qualification, the vacancy count, the age limit and the fee. These vary post to post.

  4. The fee is real and non-refundable

    Verified from two 2025 notifications: ₹300 for general candidates and ₹150 for Scheduled Castes and Tribes for one post, and ₹500 and ₹250 for another. The board states the fee paid through the profile will not be refunded under any circumstances, and must be paid only through the portal.

  5. Age limits vary widely by post

    One verified notification set 18 to 36 for a clerical post; another set 18 to 45 for a temple post, reflecting a more specialised skill set. Read the notification rather than assuming a standard band.

  6. Fix profile errors before submitting

    The board states that after submission it accepts only a formal profile correction form with supporting documents. It does not allow silent edits.

Does my Kerala PSC Thulasi profile work for KDRB?#

No. KDRB runs its own portal with its own registration. Nothing about the Commission’s profile carries across.
