Requesting a scribe for a Kerala PSC examination
Kerala PSC handles scribe requests inside the candidate’s own profile rather than at the examination centre. Its General Instructions state that candidates who need the help of a scribe should submit their application and medical certificate in their profile, using the Request menu, and that the application should be submitted at least seven days before the date of examination.

Do this well before the exam, not on the day
The instruction is explicit: the application should be submitted at least seven days before the date of examination. A request made later, or at the centre, is outside what the Commission’s published process allows for.
Log in to your profile and open the Request menu
The General Instructions direct candidates to log into their profile and click the Request menu, then Request for Scribe.
Attach the medical certificate
The instructions require the application and the medical certificate to be submitted together in the profile.
A related rule if you use a hearing aid
Separately, the same instructions state that differently abled candidates with hearing impairment or multiple disability shall not use hearing aid instruments during the examination — the aid may be used beforehand to receive the invigilator’s instructions and is then handed over, with examination instructions given to the candidate in writing.
