Raising a complaint against a Kerala PSC provisional answer key

Kerala PSC accepts complaints about a provisional answer key only online, through the candidate’s own profile, and only within five days of the key’s publication with both days included. The Commission’s standing notice is explicit that complaints submitted through any other mode — directly, by post or by email — will summarily be rejected, and that complaints received after the final answer key is published will not be entertained.

Steps

  1. Watch for the provisional key

    After an OMR examination the Commission publishes its question paper in A code, and provisional answer keys for the other versions, through the profiles of candidates who sat the exam and on its website.   2. Count the five days from publication, inclusive

    The Commission’s notice reads: complaints regarding the answer key should be submitted online only through the OTR profile of candidates, within a period of 5 days from the date of publication of the provisional answer key, both days included. The publication day itself counts.

  3. Submit only through the Answer Key Complaint link in your profile

    The complaint link sits inside your own profile. The Commission states that complaints submitted through any other mode — directly, by post, or by email — will summarily be rejected.

  4. Make the objection specific and evidenced

    Name the question, the key’s answer and the answer you believe is correct, and support it with a citation a reviewer can check — a standard textbook with author, edition and page, or an official publication. Kerala PSC does not publish a list of accepted evidence types, so this is practical advice rather than a stated rule.

  5. Then wait for the final key

    The final answer key is modified as per experts’ opinion on the valid complaints received within the stipulated time. Complaints received after the final answer key is published will not be entertained.

Is there a fee to object to a Kerala PSC answer key?#

Kerala PSC does not publish a fee for answer-key objections, and it also does not state that objections are free. Its notice covers only the channel and the deadline. Some other state commissions — Karnataka, for one — do publish a per-question fee, which is why the question keeps coming up.

What happens to a question that gets deleted from the key?#

Kerala PSC does not publish a general rule for how marks are handled when a question is dropped, so we do not describe one. The final answer key is the Commission’s statement of what was accepted.
